To be a good "law lawyer," one must be able to respond at a moment's notice-a mandamus must be filed immediately to stop the court's error, a temporary restraining order must be filed to prevent imminent harm, a trial brief must be filed at once on the issue that the judge is considering.  The firm is small enough to respond and spend whatever time it takes to get the job done-all night, if necessary, or several days at a stretch.  And, when you call, you will deal with a partner, rather than be shuffled off to an associate.
